Sunday evening, April 9, at about 6:07 p.m., West Milford fire companies 6, 3 and 4 were dispatched to 124 Bearfort Road for a report of a house fire. First to arrive on scene was Rich Bathmann, Assistant Chief of Company 6. He reported heavy fire on the C-side of the 1-story log-style home.
The fire was brought under control in about
35 minutes. There was no report of injuries at the scene.
Also assisting during the incident was an engine from Erskine Lakes Fire
Department in Ringwood, which was
relocated to West Milford's Station 3. The fire is currently under investigation
by Fire Marshal Mike Woch and the West Milford Police Department.
